Insulation

Insulation is a key tool to keep your house at a comfortable temperature and also to increase the efficiency of your heating and air systems.  If your floors are cold in the winter, that could be a sign that your crawlspace is not insulated properly. Moisture may have damaged your crawlspace or maybe it was never insulated properly in the first place. Either way, we are here to help.

Batted Floor Insulation

Our Fix: Batted Floor Insulation

The most common form of crawlspace insulation is R-19 batt, located between the floor joists of the house directly under the floor. It is highly effective, however moisture can cause it to crumble and fall, exposing the floor of your home to the elements. Once we have fixed your moisture problem, we will re-insulate your floors, ensuring that your home is warm in the winter.

Foam Board Insulation

Our Fix: Foam Board Insulation

Foam board insulation is used in encapsulations to extend the thermal envelope of the house to the crawlspace. Two inch foam board is secured to the walls of the crawlspace and the crawlspace is sealed of any air openings in an effort to insulate the crawlspace as opposed to the floors of the house. This method of insulating is only used during the encapsulation process.
