Standing water in the crawlspace or yard can cause serious structural problems to your home. Water that fails to drain away from the foundation of the house can flood the crawl space causing wood rot or potentially causing the foundation of the house to be compromised. Don’t let drainage problems threaten the structural integrity of your house, explore some solutions to your problem below, or contact us to schedule a water management service.
Our Fix: Sump Pumps
A sump pump system is a form of drainage under the house that consists of buried drain tiles that gravity feed into a float activated pump which shoots the water out of the crawlspace and away from the house. Sump pumps are often used when there is standing water in the crawlspace. Our sump pumps are installed with GFCI surge protected outlets by licensed electricians.
Our Fix: French Drains
French drains are drainage systems mainly used in the yard of the home. French drains are used to carry standing water that may be accumulating in low areas of the yard, away from the yard. We offer a corrugated flexible 4 inch drain line and a solid 4 inch PVC drain line for our French drains with the solid pipe being slightly more expensive. The solid pipe allows for debris to run unobstructed out of the lines as opposed to the ridges of the corrugated pipe however the corrugated can bend and turn making it a better fit for tight areas.
